(no subject)

Would anyone happen to have suggestions for a doggie overnight/daycare place in or around Milwaukie? We use to take our baby to Oak Lodge Barks and Recreation but when I tried to make a reservation a couple of months ago they were GONE. I haven't even considered trying to find another place because I am pretty paticular with where and who I leave her with, but the thought of taking her with us on vacation has me reconsidering.

Things I am looking for in a place are free run of the indoor AND outdoors, separate sleeping quarters, and trained and knowledgeable staff.  The people at my old place were so great and I just wish I could find out if they are going to open up a new location or if they are gone forever.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The right to bear fruit.

I'm looking for soil amendments, including but not limited to sand, peat moss and vermiculite. Cheap. I shop for plants at Portland Nursery but this gives me the impression that purchasing significant amounts of soil amendments there might not be the cheapest option -- is there anywhere close-in in SE or NE that has this stuff cheaper? I don't care about organic or any of that, this is for improving some clay soil for ground cover.

Edit: Looking for bagged products, we only have zipcar for transporting and as I mentioned in comments, ordering a truckload of stuff probably won't work because of the location.

PS, if any gardeners want to pipe up on ground cover choices, I'd appreciate it. Here are my criteria:
  • low-maintenance
  • drought tolerant (ie will survive the dry summer months without too much watering)
  • not taller than about 1 foot
  • full shade or part sun (mostly shade)
  • Pacific NW native
  • not a nuisance plant, not invasive

We are currently considering Western Starflower for the part shade area and Redwood Sorrel for the full shade.

Photo gear and Art prints

Hello, various and sundry DPeeps. Long story short, I'm splitting with my photography business partner, and need to raise money towards tying up those loose ends, before I can move down the path of pursuing photography on my own. SO, I have some excess camera gear to unload, and some art prints to sell. Details below:

GEAR SALE: Here's what I have for right now. Let me know if you're interested in anything, as these items are also posted on Craigslist. Some prices may be negotiable, so feel free to make offers.

PRINT SALE: I have a good bit of 13x19 photo paper to use up, before I sell off the fancypants photo printer. I also have a fair bit of photo paper in smaller sizes, if you have interest in something smaller.

Here's how it'll work:Seriously. I would be really, really grateful if you bought a print. It's a far less painful way to raise these funds than selling my precious gear away.

Thank you!
