bike shops that buy bikes?

My bike was stolen and my luck... I'm in Europe. A little interruption of the vacation!

I'm calling places today to have them keep their eye out but I only have a small list. Does anyone know of any shops that buy bikes? I'm using Skype so my minutes are kind of limited. Any leads are great!

PS - I've filed a police report, posted on bike portland and also am checking CL. For anyone that wants to keep an eye out here is my bike:

My bike!

It's a 1983 Schwinn World Sport. Black paint with yellow and white logo although a lot of the paint is worn. Well loved! My bike also has lightweight sport snap-on silver fenders and a Selle Italia lady sport bike seat (not in the picture). It was stolen off my porch around the 25th and Thurman area. The bike lock was cut. Feel free to send an email if you see anything, thanks! lj username @ gmail.com

random history trivia

Today is the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Dutch Provo movement, which pretty directly contributed to the rise of the hippie movement, and many of the counter cultural ideas that we hold so dearly here in Portland.

It is interesting reading! Coincidentally enough, I was just reading a first person account of that era last night, that included the dogfood/pot story that is referenced in the Wikipedia article. First time I've ever seen a [cite this quote] reference in Wikipedia and realized that I know where it came from. I win!

MEETUP TONIGHT

Hey everyone, now I'm back on the ball! Meetup tonight at 7pm! By the way, as cratermoon pointed out, it's Towel Day! Feel free to bring your towel!

We'll meet at McMenamin's Tavern and Pool, but if they decide to give us crap service and less than decent service, we might jump ship and go elsewhere, so we'll keep DP posted as we go if plans change...

7pm - Tuesday the 25th

indian ankle bracelets?

Sigh.
My mother is in town and, bless her heart, she's one of those purple-wearing old ladies.  Except her brand of purple is to wear those (indian?) anklets that are bells so she jingles at every step.  However, her current anklets are in poor repair, being held in place with yarn, and she is looking for a replacement.  I know these are probably in every freaking indian-type store, but anyone have specific suggestions of a store with "high quality" (her request) anklets like these?  That might be open late tonight (like 9 or 10)?  Anywhere in the pdx metro area is welcome.
thanks all!

I'm looking for therapy and have a pretty demanding schedule. Does anyone know a therapist who is available weekends, or failing that after 7pm on weekdays?

Feel free to give other info if you know a good therapist.... Or know a bad one I should avoid.
