Allright, DPers, I'm sure you're familiar with Old Navy's Supermodelquins campaign. Am I the only one who wants to chuck something at the TV when you see the ads? And gets creeped the hell out when you turn around and one of those freaky things is sneakily behind you in stores?

More importantly, I'm curious as to what people's least favorite or most memorably annoying ad campaigns :)

Women's Football!

Ladies! Are you football-obsessed? Want a chance to strap on a helmet and knock the crap out of someone else? Now's your chance...

The Portland Fighting Fillies are the newest addition to the Women's Football Alliance, a national women's knock-the-crap-out-of-each-other football league. Those brave enough to try will join an elite group of women dedicated to dominating teams up and down the West coast in our inaugural season, Spring 2010.

The Portland Fighting Fillies will be having their third try-out on October 4th at 4pm. No experience is necessary, all you need is the desire to strive for excellence (and a $30 try-out fee). Try-outs are at Fowler Middle School (10865 SW Walnut St, Tigard, OR) on the baseball field. Call our General Manager, Lyn Lumley, at 503-352-9255, if you have any questions about the team, the league, or the try-out... he will gladly give you the information you need.

Even if you aren't sure if you are ready to play, please come get to know the team at this try-out!

Credit Unions

good evening

i'm looking for suggestions for good credit unions that have a wider range of locations. i'm basically in and around Portland and lots of time in the West Linn/ Lake Oswego area. i'm tired of the bigger banks and would like to officially cut my ties with them. i am leaning towards decent location ranges around town (which may be a tall order), but i'd appreciate good personal experiences as well. in the end a great credit union, regardless of the locations, may just be the best choice in the end. thanks for any info!
Lonely Island - On A Boat

Sigh. I haven't been to a dentist for...too long. Like, a few years (I know, bad self). I need to go 'cause I'm fairly certain I've got at least one cavity, and the beginnings of a second one and would like to get that taken care of. I do have health coverage, though it's crap.

So, anyone here have a nice dentist who won't chastise me for my lapse in care? My last one always was lecturing, even when my teeth were perfect, and is one of the reasons I stopped going. Anywhere in the PDX/Tigard/Beaverton area is fine :)
