So, I finally decided on a phone and picked up a 3gs.
What are some must have apps?
I have the usual social networking apps minus twitter . I also have Pandora. What else am I missing?
And are there any cool Oregon/Portland friendly applications?
pray tell, where does one get a yard of silk in these here parts? I imagine best bet is on the East side, but I'm not picky. I just need silk. A yard of it.
Dear DP - Can you please recommend some of your favorite places to camp?
I have a friend visiting next month and we would like to get out of town for the weekend.
We are flexible, either towards the mountains or towards the ocean. Either campground or renegade.
Bonuses: swimming water; waterfall hiking
Where would one find Gluten Free wonton/potsticker wrappers? I thought I saw them at Trader Joes, but they don't have any. And neither does New Seasons. I'd like to make some chicken wontons for a friend who has been craving them for a year.
Do they even exist? I swear I saw some, they were made with rice flour so they were like flat little mochi.
Is it legal to have an open container in a vehicle in Oregon? If not, how do limos get away with it? Because of the barrier between driver and consumer? Does this mean I can sit in the back of a pickup truck with my shirt off getting plastered on whiskey?
Where can I get a Japanese-style futon in Portland? Organic would be great, but I know that might be pushing it.
In case you're wondering, the difference is that a Japanese-style futon goes directly on the floor and is folded up and stowed during the day. The convertible couch/frame business is a Western invention and is too bulky/immobile to be suitable for my needs.
Anybody have a u-pick blueberry place that they really just adore? I have a whole list of them from online, but have no way of knowing whether they're any good or not.
My ideal place would have several varieties of berries so that I can choose which ones I think are the tastiest.
Any fabulous suggestions?
Anyone have a copy of the obscure short lived tv series The Dresden Files I can borrow? Or know where I can buy it in town? Can't find it at places like Freddies. I don't have an internet connection at home so torrenting it is not really an option.
i have a hankering for a midnight swim in the buff within biking distance of downtown. i'd rather not do it in a sewageriver, and i'd rather not get busted for trespassing. note that i do not specify that i mind jumping fences to find the location, i just don't want to get caught. so, the pool behind the police precinct building is out. but your apartment complex might be in =)
oh, and it'd be nice if it wasn't full of 200 other fools, leastwise at midnight. i'm fool enough for any pool.
So, because I'm a student, Apple decided to throw a free iPod at me when I bought a laptop. I already have an 80 gig iPod. So...I've got a black 120GB iPod classic, still in shrinkwrap, that I'd like to convert into cash to help pay for said laptop. It's normally $249, and like I said, it's still in it's original shrinkwrap. $220?
My honey wants a nooner tomorrow, and I need a cheep-cheep-cheep place to go.
Does anyone know how old a child has to be before they can be left home alone? I'm looking on the child welfare site for Oregon and not having much luck and from what Google is telling me, it seems to vary per state.
