fuck..

did anyone see, or is anyone here responsible for, that video about spousal abuse as directed towards husbands from wives (well, from one wife onto one husband), featuring a severely upset lady with a shaved head (cancer)? it was advertised on craigslist, looking for random viewers to comment, and has since been flagged, but was slightly/mildly/very difficult to sit through. it was recorded with a hidden camera, and touted as a film, but .......... I would just like to hear some thoughts, if anyone knows what I'm talking about.

A friend of mine that lives in Vegas asked me to take some pictures of all the trees that are blooming up here since they really don't happen down there very much. Can anybody tell me a great place that is dog friendly with lots of trees blooming? I prefer the west side, but will go as far as 39th on the east. Thanks in advance!

Important! Massive pet food recall

Pet Food Recall - Important

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070316/...et_food_recall

WASHINGTON - A major manufacturer of dog and cat food sold under Wal-Mart, Safeway, Kroger and other store brands recalled 60 million containers of wet pet food Friday after reports of kidney failure and deaths.

An unknown number of cats and dogs suffered kidney failure and about 10 died after eating the affected pet food, Menu Foods said in announcing the North American recall. Product testing has not revealed a link explaining the reported cases of illness and death, the company said.

"At this juncture, we're not 100 percent sure what's happened," said Paul Henderson, the company's president and chief executive officer.

The recall covers the company's "cuts and gravy" style food, which consists of chunks of meat in gravy, sold in cans and small foil pouches between Dec. 3 and March 6. The pet food was sold by stores operated by the Kroger Company, Safeway Inc., Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and PetSmart Inc., among others, Henderson said.

Menu Foods did not immediately provide a full list of brand names and lot numbers covered by the recall, saying they would be posted on its Web site — http://www.menufoods.com/recall — early Saturday. Consumers with questions can call (800) 551-7392.

Please look at the list and see if the brand(s) you use are on here. It's a huge list.

Please spread the word. Thank you.

tres chic and magnifique

Are you french? Nope =)

Just wanted to say OMG I SOOO enjoyed walking around this AWESOME city all day yesterday with none other than my own tour guide, lokidecat
The weather was FANTABULOUS...the conversations we had wherever we went were most gregarious (Nickolai, GreenPeace, Lost man going to Whole foods, Barista talking in Mew mew, mew mew mew mew).
The echo of MATH in my ears at Pioneer square...the decadent cuppie cakes at St. Cupcake. Which ok, a question was posed to me of that...it was, Voodoo donuts or St. Cupcake? This is NOT like a BEATLES or ELVIS question where you can choose one of the other, I think the answer is it would depend on your sweet tooth mood as BOTH have some super satisfactory sweet salivating sumptuousness of sizemic proportions.
I DO recommend if you go to St. Cupcake to get a half dozen of the mini cupcakes, that way you can sample many of the flavor combos they have to offer AND you do not have to feel like a pig.

At any rate, I welcome this weather which allowed me to walk the city and really remind myself (which I KNOW I must have reminded lokidecat a million times) of how much I love this city compared to where I came from (D.C.) I don't hate D.C. and there ARE things I miss about D.C. but the absolute pure fun and joy of this city and the inhabitants make me all warm and fuzzy inside.

I think Loki missed his calling and should be a tourguide of Portland...truly he was full of great information and history....AND OMG between the 2 of us, we spent LESS than $40.00 for two people for the whole day..SO TAKE THAT RACHEL RAY!!!!!! =P

At any rate, I am sure I will partake in more city adventures SOOOooo, in closing my good DP....if you have suggestions of ANYWHERE that YOU think is awesome to stop and see, to eat, to have a snack, to shop....Please share!!! I want to suck the marrow out of my life in this city =)

DP related because like OMG this city, TOTALLY RULEZ and when I think about it, I get verklempt.

MAKE PORTLAND WEIRD! ($$$ sticker idea free 4u)

hey, I've been noticing a lot of extremely fascinating yards lately.. where's your favorite yard to walk past and notice?

or what do you think about an amateur cartographers society for portland, making relative maps not necessarily to scale, of neighborhoods or the whole city with points you find important mentioned, or drawing on googlemaps or things like that. maybe scale dictated by mode of transportation... if some street takes a long time to walk along, maybe it'd be a longer line! or a route that takes multiple modes of transportation to get to.

a hand-drawn map highlighting the awesomest lawns you've come across?

Anybody going to see Floater tonight at the Crystal?

I AM.

I'll be wearing a black hoodie with a DK patch on the back. Say hello if you can make it through the reams of fat balding three hundred pound white dudes yelling, "DAN-NY BOY! DAN-NY BOY!"

Sarangi?

Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone knows of a sarangi/indian instrument place. I've spent hours online trying to find a local sarangi retailer and thought that you might know of somewhere. We'll travel, so distance is certainly not an issue.

Thanks in advance!

Therapists?

I am looking for a therapist. Ideally, someone open minded (not offended by alternative lifestyle choices), and affordable. I would rather go to someone I have some references for than choose out of the Mercury or something. No one I know sees a therapist, so I look to you, wise damnportlanders!
Oh, also, I dont want someone who will just prescribe antidepressants to me without trying other solutions first.
