stop it

Pearl question.

What year did they start developing the Pearl? I've got an aerial shot of most of Portland with Big Pink but no Pearl and was trying to figure when it was taken. Wikipedia and Google have been no help, as they both throw sites that say "10 years ago", which doesn't do me any good.

Thanks.

my brain is leaking out my nose.

hey y'alls. i'm stuck at work with my trusty laptop and hi speed wi-fi
and i'm like some reccomendations from my beloved damn portlanders of music
to download. i'm terribly bored with everything i have on here. my tastes
run all over the board, tending torwards singer-songwriter stuff, anything
independently produced (though not neccessarily of the "indie" genre),
good local bands i can get into and then go out and support. weird is good.
thanks in advance and all that.

Commercial Property Manager & Maintenance Tech

The company I work for, is looking for an EXPERIENCED Commercial Property Manager.

The reason I have bolded the experienced part, is because we have received several resumes from people that think they can do it, and have not had training. Our company is looking for someone that can just jump right in. The pay is excellent, and you'll be paid for mileage as well. Benefits after 90 days.

We are also looking for a Maintenance Tech. Someone that can do turnovers on apartments as well as our commercial properties.

Both positions are Monday-Friday

If you are interested, please comment here and I will give you the contact information.

Thanks!

PS... we have also put an ad out in The Oregonian and on Craigslist.

I'm looking to get my grandmother some not so common looking roses.Anyone know of any florist shops that could help me out? Preferably some reasonable priced ones.

When I say common I mean the plain red, white or yellow ones.

Goonies never say 'happy new year'!

Anyone know of a clean, sober, and laid-back (known as "boring" to the non-sober) new year's eve get-together? Seriously, I think my ideal party would be attended entirely by people who hate parties. But they'd still come. But they wouldn't. You know what I mean? If you do, keep reading.

Um, so, if you're one of those socially stunted kinds of people who is kind of indifferent, but maybe feels the slight inclination to have some form of human contact without being surrounded by crazies (or maybe do anything but try to silence the drunken clamoring of your neighbors), well... what do you think? Anyone want to join me for, say, pizza and gaming? Nerdy movie-watching? Wandering around aimlessly doing absolutely nothing? I know you're out there, and you've got just as much going on as I do. Come on, squares! Hermits! Geeks! Lepers! ...Amish? Let's get together, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Any Prisoner fans out there?

Got the DVD box set for X-Mas and looking for people who'd be interested in watching an episode or two a week (like a friday night thing).
Oh Fuck

Hook me up!

So, DPers, my car was just towed in a predatory fashion for not having a parking sticker while I was dropping something off at a friend's apartment in Beaverton. They are planning on charging me $203 to get my car back from them, provided that I set up an appoinment yada yada yada.

I know that Portland has curbed this action on the part of towing companies (predatory towing that is) but I'm wishing and hoping that similar policies exist for the city of Beaverton...or, if not that, because the company (Safeguard) is registered in Portland that they are subject to the ban on P.T.

Any and all advice is appreciated, TIA.
