I need some friendly help/advice from photographers here.

I used to do B&W photography (as a hobby and then for various school publications) back in the day when I had a darkroom available to me. Last time I developed my own film and printed my own photos was 4 years ago....that was also my last visit to a darkroom :-(
Since then my memory regarding the chemistry processes has gotten very hazy.
It would be awesome if someone can list the steps (as well as the names of the chemicals) of those processes?

Thanks a bunch !

Junk Drawer

I think everyone has a drawer like this in their house.... send me pictures of yours for my next art project. I want to paint a series with junk drawers as a metaphor for the interiors of our lives. You can post your picture on my journal or email them to me.

I will be at the Fireside Coffee Lodge off of about 12th and Powell at 2 pm this Saturday giving away pieces of free art. There is a lot of stuff that I have hung onto for too long and it is time to release it into the universe. There is a great painting of a bike in front of lumberyards, a surreal collage-like painting with a clock set to 9:11. A collage of a woman called meat puppet. You can see examples of my work on my journal.

One last thought, RACC had an article about the influx of creative people into Portland and how is the community supporting that. I know at my last church of art meeting, we had three new members from different parts of the country that had moved to Portland because they felt a creative energy was at work here. In Washington, there is a privately funded group who gives over a million dollars each year in grants to local artists. We don't have that here in Portland and considering how many artists live here... that is surprising. Even if you don't buy art... go look at it. It will stir your imagination, touch your senses and fire your soul over and over again.

Art and eats

Does anyone know if the Our Lady of Eternal Combustion Church is still around? My friend and I want to check out the art cars there. Also a good place for breakfast/lunch around city center, preferably a greasy spoon type place? And any thrift stores around Hawthorne. Thank you.

Coffee stain tooth remover

Ok, so I've been drinking way too much coffee and now I'm suffering the consequences - my bottom front teeth have brown little stains running along the edges. I have a cleaning scheduled for next month, but can anyone recommend a way of removing them on my own? Should I brush with baking powder?

cupcakes?

Does anyone that sells cupcakes? Seattle has Cupcake Royale and I still haven't been able to find a place that specializes in gourmet cupcakes. I have check Whole Foods and other places. The only place I found them was one day when I went to Seattle's Best by PSU, but they don't always have them. Any suggestions?

And no, not just vegan cupcakes. I don't mind, but it's not a big deal to me if they are or not. Thanks!

Hey - my boyfriend and I *just* decided we want to go out tonight. Any places with decent music, decent drinks, in SW that isn't *too* full of trendy/beautiful people? We're both a little shy and new to Portland.
