anyone else awake and bored? If so chat it up with me... AIM: Analog Fight
I live in an upstairs apartment. I have one neighbor next door and another below. If I were to shower right now do you think that would disturb them from their sleep?
where is the nearest boat launch (for a sea kayak) in relation to the Portland Challenge?
I am at work till 5, and we got a huge box in for a filing cabnet. I am making a fort. I have windows, and a door, but the next main need is a window latching system, and door knobs. Any ideas on how to maneuver this, so that I can lock myself in, once I am inside. All I have are basic office supplies.
So, I have a question that I ask every once and a while on the livejournal.
Has anyone here ever gone to the Franciscan Montessori Earth School?
I am sure some of the many must have a livejournal!
And, for those who don't understand what this weirdly named institution is...you are better off not knowing! :)
Anyone feel like grabing a cup of coffee or something right now?
And yeah, I'm at the library again, with 41 minutes left. So at 2:11ish, I'll be booted off the computer island.
Dear DP-ers.. I want to "escape" somewhere (by myself) for the next 5 hours. Somewhere natury and perhaps close to water, that doesn't require spending a lot of (or if any) money.
So I along with my friend Kate will be in the rose city at some point in Novemember to hang out and visit a good friend (Justin Baade how odd if one of you knew him).
Any fun goth/punk/new wave type bars or such to suggest?
HELP! I really really want to go to a peace event in Washington DC (September 24, 25, 26) a preliminary search of hotels is looking WAY to expensive. Does anyone know anyone who lives there who would be willing to share their home, apartment, floor, etc with two (a friend and I) easy going women? Please comment on this posting or drop me an email at your earliest conveience. Thanks.
Does anyone belong to the downtown 24 hour fitness? If so, what do you think of it? Is it a meat market and what are their hours (since I know they say they're open "up to 24 hours")? I don't want to call them, since the last time I did they called me for three months afterward. Just wondering if I can get some opinions here. I already belong to a gym, but the hours are pretty limited so I'm looking at other options.
Thanks in advance!
Pizza places that actually deliver to NW 20th & Burnside? Possibly something not so.. you know, Pizza Slut or Dominos.
P.S.; My legs are not working at all, so uh, walking is pretty much out of the question. Hence delivery.
You ever feel like you just want to be able to sit here and twiddle your thumbs, and not have to feel like you have to be doing something productive all the time?
I know several of you are bicylists, so I hope this is a good place to ask. I am considering riding my bike to work along the Springwater Trail rather than driving; is that safe? It will be light out both directions, but I'm a little nervous biking alone. I do see a lot of people using the trail, which is good, but also a lot of homeless people along the sides in the trees, which is not so good. I'm in outer SE, riding to almost Oaks Park.
What do you all think?
This is your two-minute (ok, two-day) warning.... the Meetup is this Tuesday! Unless something changed when I was outta town. :)
Members of Vancouver for Peace and others that participated in the vigil in solidarity with Cindy Sheehan on Wed 8/17 will continue our call for Mr. Bush to explain his war policies to Cindy Sheehan, the Gold Star Moms for Peace and all of America. We will gather Wed 8/24 from 7 PM to 8 PM across the street from the Vancouver Community Library and simply vigil on the street with signs. We realize that we need to be persistent. Everyone is welcome. Bring signs. We will have banners. We hope to have you join us on Wednesday!
Out of pure curiosity I have a question for you guys. First of all, how many of you are Republican/Democrat and of you in either party, how many are practicing christians? I am just trying to get a feel for what the Portland area is like.
something that has been bugging me before i lay my head to rest is the fact that i have close to no girl friends. being a gal that does make friends rather easily, i no longer have any close female friends. i once did growing up but they all drifted away for one reason or another. i have made attempts but most seem to be either really shady or are just plain douche bags. is it just me or do girls have more guy friends and vice versa? the ratio of my girl to guy friends is about 1/10. i do speak with a few girls but no one is considered really close.
anyone else experiencing this problem? friends of the same or opposite sex, which is easier or more difficult?
okay, i better have some excellent theories by the time i awake for work! i keeeeeed!
