So did anyone see my art last first thursday?

Here is one of the pieces I left on the street. I left two other pieces out as well. You can see those and more of the freebies I have put out in the last couple years in my journal. Why do I do this? Frankly I can't afford to frame a show again and it gets ridiculous being an artist having so much of your own damn art laying around. Plus it is fun. It is kind of like watching a ballon float away in the sky knowing you will never see it again.

i am at work alone. i'm a mother who won't get to see her baby today. i'll be working ten hours today and i will soon run out of work to be doing, so i'll basically be sitting here by myself, in the dark, moping. cheers!

Are any of you in one of these videos?

Under the "Cutting Edge" category of Comcast OnDemand (which covers on-demand programming like The Anime Network, G4TV OD, and Adult Swim OD), there's a new sub category called... Dating On Demand. People are grouped by sex and age and you see a two-minute video where they talk about themselves like one of those video dating services.

Ok, so I really want to go see a movie. But, I have -no- idea where movie theaters are.

Any suggestions for good theaters and movie recommendations? In Beaverton or downtown Portland.

So I'm moving to Seattle in June or July, most likely July. Do you know of any movers that would be able to move a one bedroom apartment for a not hideously astronomical price? I'm getting wild estimates of at least a thousand dollars. Or if that's not possible, can one hire a driver to drive the truck, at the very least? Thanks for your input.

Happy Mothers Day- Mommas

To my precious Zeli- thank you for picking me.

Before you were conceved I wanted you.
Before you were born I loved you.
Before you were here a hour I would die for you.
This is the miracle of Life.

Alright guys, I'm moving back to California in less than a week, and I need to get rid of these books/cds etc. I can't take them with me - I don't have the room. They're all on, but I want to get them gone and figured I'd offer to you guys. Lots of kids books and some text books.

Well the meet was a bust as expected. The planets weren't aligned right for this sort of thing. Plus the rain didn't help. But I did capture the silver man's soul! What's the story with this guy? I've seen him a couple times.

"You only think I guessed wrong - that's what's so funny. I switched glasses when your back was turned. Ha-ha, you fool. You fell victim to one of the classic blunders, the most famous of which is "Never get involved in a land war in Asia", but only slightly less well known is this: "Never go in against a Sicilian, when *death* is on the line. Hahahahahah."

Sublet my Kitty!

Anyone want a sweet and affectionate, low-maitenance cat for the summer? Her name is Meta, and she needs a home for the summer, as I've decided to go home to the wilds of Montana, and a 12 car ride wouldn't be great for her poor kitty sanity.

That's The Ticket

So, to the numerous amounts of people who got parking tickets today for something other than an expired meter, what was your ticket for? I saw several policemen giving out tickets in front of the Bike Gallery near Pioneer Square, then later going down 10th handing out more tickets!

P.S. Looks like the "no riding your bike on walkways" only applies to civies, and not the cop cycling down the sidewalk. Rassin frassin.

I wasn't going to post this in here, but what the hell... I saw a couple other Mother's Day things, so I thought I'd add mine. Plus, it's late, no one's reading... right? :)

Parenthood is a TOUGH freaking job under the best of circumstances. Single parents are heroic, every single day.

Here's to all of the mothers in this community... and to mommies everywhere. :)

My mom called me at about7:30 this morning. That's when she always calls. They don't have a phone, those snowbirds, and she had walked over to the pay phone to call her kids. She knew we'd want to talk to her today.

Mom said that she renewed her driver's license the last time she was in a town large enough to have a DMV. She said that she got her favorite driver's license ever. Now, if you don't have a permanent address, they give you a license that says, "Continuous Traveler."

I have three, quite random questions for you lovelies tonight.

1) Do you believe in psychics?
2) Have you ever been to one?
3) Can you suggest one to me in the Portland area?

It's more out of curiosity than anything, and I think it would be fun.
